WHAT IS AFFILIATE MARKETING?
Affiliate Marketing is a performance-based online marketing strategy where brands/businesses pay you (affiliate) for driving traffic or sales to their website through advertising their offer(s) on your social media and/or instant messaging platform(s).
HOW DOES IT WORK?
2) Promote the Products/Services
Once approved as an affiliate, you'll receive a unique tracking link and posts/banners from the brand. You'll use these materials to promote the products or services on your social media platforms.
3) Tracking and Cookies
The tracking links contain a unique affiliate ID that allows brands/businesses to track the source of traffic and sales. Cookies are often used to store this information on the user's device, ensuring that affiliates receive payment for ALL their referrals, even if the purchase occurs later.
4) Customer Clicks and Purchases
When a potential customer clicks on your affiliate promotional link and makes a purchase on the brand's website, your unique affiliate ID and the associated cookie will identify you as the referral source.
5) Payment to Affiliates
Affiliates receive payments for their earned commissions. Payments are made monthly into your bank account via EFT.
